And here’s a picture that’s pretty emotional for me, this is my (not technically) first E-Board at the New Paltz Oracle. I was a first-semester of college staff writer with this group. I wrote almost every week, and attempted to do Features for Zan (HAHAHAHA). The one thing I don’t think I ever told Zan though was…
Well Zan, remember how it was a lecture I had to cover? It was really boring, and I fell asleep during it. Sa-orry.
Anyway, I was really embarrassed abotu going back because A) the story was really shitty and B) It got cut. Zan was really great though and said I should come back.
So I did sports, because I was comfortable with it and had done it in high school.
I wrote for Andrew Wyrich, and that’s when it all started.
They all thought I was great, and welcomed me with open arms. Even more than open arms; it’s like Julie opened her bird wings and took off with me. Everyone on that E-board was really welcoming and awesome. I didn’t think of it like this at the time, but I was the freshman who had a group of cool, older college kids that actually liked them. I loved this group, and something I always wish for is that I could have worked a semester with this group as part of E-board. However, they treat me like I was a part of it, even if I technically wasn’t.
The way Julie put it, I’m the “Change of Life” baby.
This picture is sad too though, because there are some very key people missing in this picture. Yet the most sad thing about this picture?
This may have been a group from two years ago, but I’m one of the only people left from it.
An era has truly ended, but everything will be okay, no matter how sad it is.

This was the most important thing that ever happened to me in college, The New Paltz Oracle.
